Andrew Nibbi is a multi-hyphenate artist and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles, California.

Andrew Nibbi is a cinematographer, producer, DIT, and musician from the San Francisco Bay Area and based in Los Angeles. With a background in independent filmmaking and musical theatre, Andrew strives to unite cast and crew to create beautiful and meaningful art, telling rich stories from fresh angles. Through his production company 178 Blank Productions, he also seeks to elevate unheard voices in media and create opportunities for first-time filmmakers.

Growing up in Redwood City, Andrew first ventured into still photography in middle school, borrowing his mom’s camera to take pictures around the yard. Some years later, he created a music video for a class project in high school, and quickly realized that filmmaking offered the perfect opportunity to combine his passion for visual art with the camaraderie of theatre.

Andrew produced a number of film projects under the 178 Blank banner while studying at Syracuse University. After the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, Andrew decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film in earnest. Now, he works primarily as a DIT and producer for films, commercials, and music videos.

The themes that inspire me most in my work are the inexorable compromise between our individual desire for control and our need for connection, and the trite but often insightful expression “the heart wants most what it cannot have”.
